ACCUMULUS CONSULTING LIMITED was founded in 2001 by Geoff O’Shea as an independent financial advice firm that genuinely puts the interests of its clients first.

Over twenty years the business has retained its original ethos and gone from strength to strength with a client base that has grown substantially, largely due to referrals from existing clients.

Our advisers have around 70 years’ experience between them and are experts in their respective fields. They offer genuinely independent advice, analysing products across the whole of market to find the best possible solutions for each client.

We go above and beyond regulatory requirements where possible and always comply with the spirit, not just the letter of the law. We also look after our employees, with a flexible working environment that allows them to work around family commitments. Geoff O’Shea

Geoff has been a financial adviser since 1991 and founded Accumulus in 2001. He primarily advises on pensions, investments and protection. As a Certified Financial Planner he helps clients to identify and manage their current priorities and helps them to create a plan for their future. He is passionately driven by a desire to act in the best interests of his clients and his approach has led to high levels of referrals from satisfied clients and to industry recognition.

Ian Westen

Director, Mortgage Services

Ian joined Accumulus in 2013 and advises across all areas of commercial and residential property finance including lifetime mortgages. He also advises on protection. He has more than 35 years’ experience in the mortgage market ranging from selling and underwriting through to customer services. Ian operates across the whole of market and prides himself on finding the best possible deal for a client’s needs at the best possible rates, drawing from a wide variety of lenders.

Ali Akhtar

Director, Independent Financial & Mortgage Adviser

Ali joined Accumulus in 2020 having qualified as an adviser in financial services in 2014. Prior to that he worked in the central London property market. His expertise ranges from complex mortgage advice through to retirement planning and protection and is always very thorough in his approach. A strong advocate for the wider environment and ecosystems we live in, Ali is particularly passionate about our Responsible Investment Strategy and how we can fully deliver on our clients’ preferences.

Bridget Walker

Bridget has been working with Accumulus since 2012, bringing with her 30 years’ experience in strategy and financial planning. She is responsible for the strategic direction of the business working closely with the advisers and the administrative team. Bridget’s aim is to build and strengthen the team, developing our business capabilities to extend and improve the service our clients receive.

Simon Llewellyn

As paraplanner, Simon is an integral part of our team. He has extensive experience working in many aspects of compliance and financial planning, particularly investments, protection and retirement planning. He works closely with both the advisers and the providers to design, implement and manage client portfolios to maximise benefits and minimise risks.

Wencke Walsh

Office Manager

As our Office Manager, Wencke manages the day to day running of the office, coordinating our processes and administrative team to assist our advisers in the most effective way. Wencke is well known to our investment clients as she assists with processing product applications, providing information on existing policies and all general enquiries. Having been with Accumulus for more than 15 years, Wencke is very much the glue that holds us all together.

Shu-Min Slater

Financial Services Administrator

Shu-Min joined the mortgage team at Accumulus in 2014, having worked in marketing and within an estate agency before that. She provides administrative support for mortgage and protection applications, liaising with the advisers and clients as required. Shu is efficient and thorough and remains calm in all situations. Her responsibilities also include marketing communications and managing the company website.

Louise Harrington

Financial Services Administrator

Louise works alongside Shu and Aimée to provide support and assistance to the mortgage advisers. She has 12 years’ experience as a mortgage administrator and prior to that worked in finance and marketing. Louise has a high attention to detail and works hard to ensure the accuracy of all information, liaising with the lenders and clients as required and doing her best to ensure a successful outcome.

Aimee Iggulden

Financial Services Administrator

Aimée joined us in 2021 and carries out technical research and analysis for the mortgage team as well as general administration for the investment team. Prior to joining Accumulus, Aimée was a qualified mortgage broker at a leading London firm and had spent ten years running property management departments. She is very organised with a high attention to detail and is continually seeking to improve our client service levels.
